PneuGrip
Pneumatic Actuation and Capacitive Sensing
Our brand of the product is called “PneuGrip”. The product is aimed at assisting the people with strength limitations of their fingers. The system has evolved from an inflatable surface with embedded liquid metal sensing wrapping system with capacitive sensing.
We have explored variations in geometry to minimize volume for the needed acting force. Moreover, we have designed of the product as a kit of parts containing different geometries for various applications.

OBJECTIVES
Concept - Proposal - Benchmarking - Branding - Final

- Product name
- Description of core technology (simple language)
- Product specifications: What does it do? What are the important metrics? What are the expected values of these metrics?
- User study: Who uses the product and why? Focus on lead and extreme users. What might the switching cost be?
- Competitive product benchmarking: What are the other products' advantages or shortcomings? What are their pain points?
- Value proposition (expected cost from benchmarking): How much do they cost? How is it supplied? How large is the market for these products?
- Product designs: include drawings, animations, or physical models to express your design intent.
